Helping Students Know Jesus and Make Him Known
At Lakeside YTH, we exist to help students in Metro Detroit grow in their relationship with Jesus, build lasting friendships, and live out their faith with confidence. Every gathering is a chance to encounter God in a real way and discover that following Jesus is the most meaningful life possible.
Letter from Pastor Russell
Hey Lakeside Family,
Welcome to Lakeside Youth! I’m Pastor Russell, and it’s my joy to lead an incredible group of students who are passionate about Jesus and excited to make a difference right here in Metro Detroit.
Our youth ministry is built around three big values — friendship, faith, and purpose. We want every student to find real community, grow strong in their faith, and learn how to share the hope of Jesus with their classmates and friends.
Every week, we worship, dive into God’s Word, and pray for our schools and city. We also believe faith should be fun — so you’ll find plenty of laughter, hangouts, and unforgettable moments along the way.
Beyond our weekly services, students have opportunities to grow and serve through Fine Arts, AIM missions trips, youth conventions, summer camps, retreats, and community outreach. These experiences shape character, build leadership, and ignite a passion for sharing Jesus.
Parents, thank you for trusting us with your students. We’re committed to partnering with you to help them become strong followers of Christ who stand firm in their faith.
Students, this is your time. God has called you to shine His light in your schools and neighborhoods. Let’s grow together, serve together, and show the world what it looks like to live for Jesus.
See you Wednesday night!
With excitement,
Pastor Russell Youth Pastor, Lakeside Assembly of God
