The Bible Challenge is a program to encourage kids of all ages to read the Bible. Kids can read any version of the Bible; kids can read the Bible with parents; they can even listen to the Bible in audio format (CD or Online). For each chapter your child reads they will earn one Super Buck. There is no time limit on how much to read, just read at your own pace. We keep all forms, completed or partial, on file so if a child is working towards one of our Bible reading programs we have record of their progress K-5th Grade. You can bring any form with any number of chapters read and get Super Bucks.

Recommended Bibles
Parents often ask what is a good Bible for a child. If you go into a bookstore and look at the Bibles, you will find a wide variety of choices and translations. We can spend a lot of time on the different translations, but for these kids there are three translations that are recommended by Pastor Randy Neary, Family Life Pastor at Lakeside...
- The New International Verson (NIV) is used in all of our curriculum here at Lakeside - Sunday School, Royal Rangers, Mpact Girls, Junior Bible Quiz and Kids Church.
- The New International Readers Version (NIrV) is written for kids with words easier to read than the NIV.
- The New Living Translation (NLT) verion is also easy to read.
The Assemblies of God recently developed the Fire Bible for Kids. This NIV translation has notes, pictures and a special app you can load onto your ipad or iphone to use to interact with the Bible. Click on this link to go to the Fire Bible for Kids website The Fire Bible for Kids Paperback is available in the Lakeside SuperStore for 170 Super Bucks. The Fire Bible for Kids in Paperback can also be purchased for $17 (exact cash or check please).
We will also have NIrV Paperback Bibles available in the Super Store for 50 Super Bucks or they can be purchased for $5 (exact cash or check please).
